The Buffalo Bills may not be done reshaping their offense just yet, as new reports suggest ongoing discussions with the San Francisco 49ers could lead to another major addition.

After already making a splash by acquiring a proven wide receiver this offseason, Buffalo appears focused on continuing to build around franchise quarterback Josh Allen.

This time, the target is a high-profile playmaker with a massive contract and proven production at the NFL level.

Sources around the league indicate that the 49ers are actively exploring trade options following a fractured relationship with Brandon Aiyuk, despite having signed him to a four-year, $120 million extension just one offseason ago.

While both sides are expected to part ways, San Francisco is not rushing into a deal.

General manager John Lynch has acknowledged ongoing discussions but made it clear the team is willing to wait for the right return rather than force a move before the NFL Draft.

That patience could work in Buffalo’s favor.

The Bills have emerged as one of the most logical landing spots, especially after addressing part of their receiver needs but still lacking a true elite separator on the outside.

Aiyuk, when healthy, offers exactly that. His route-running precision and ability to create consistent separation would give Allen another reliable weapon in critical situations.

However, there are factors that complicate the potential deal.

Aiyuk is currently recovering from an ACL injury, which has impacted his trade value and could allow Buffalo to negotiate a more favorable package than originally expected.

From a financial standpoint, the move is also manageable.

With a cap hit just above $11 million in 2025 and flexibility to restructure contracts, the Bills have the room to absorb his deal without sacrificing long-term stability.

For San Francisco, the priority remains maximizing value.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan has emphasized that the organization is confident a deal will happen eventually, but only when the timing and compensation align with their expectations.

For Buffalo, that means one thing.

Patience.

If they are willing to wait, they could land a $120 million-caliber receiver at a discounted price.

And if that happens, it could be the move that finally pushes the Bills offense to another level in the AFC race.
